SMART Target: Personal Project - Jello The Frog

Following on from my exploration into a cuter art style, I have created a cute frog character named Jello. I want to continue this characters progression by creating a full miniature 'family' of frogs as I feel this would not only help me develop my skills but make my progression much more clearly visible with each design.

If there was one thing I would change with this design, it would be that the colouring looks a lot more neon than it was within my original artwork file, and I feel this may be because my file was converted from CMYK to RGB once exported. I chose to create my design using a CMYK file in case I want to get any of my designs printed in the future.

I made this creation as a two part illustration, so I could emphasise the cute detailing within the liquid stomach of the character. This will also make my Instagram newsfeed a lot more interactive which should improve the total time someone spends on my account.

I really like the addition of the stars on this design and I made sure to make their shadowing correspond with the colour of the frog to improve consistency within my design.
