Weekly Reflection: Independent Project - Munchy May, Day 4
Returning to the Munchy May prompt list I decided to illustrate a burger which I had for tea the day before. I am very happy with the design of this character as I feel it is clear to see that my skills for creating cute styles of art is developing.
I explored the use of 'sesame shaped' assets for the eyes rather than the usual rounded eyes seen on cute characters as I felt this was more cohesive with the theme. I also made the blush a tone which was more natural to the base colour of the design rather than an intrusive pink, I feel this enabled me to incorporate an element of blush in a much more 'natural' and visually appealing way.
I love the way I have decided to create the shadows for each component of this design as I feel the overall aesthetic is both cute and interesting to the audience. If I were to explore this design in the future I would like to experiment with a less natural, pastel colour scheme to see how this effects my design.
