Weekly Reflection: Personal Project - Jelly Toast Character

I am very happy with the progression of my individual learning plan at the moment, not only am I managing to work on my university deadline but I am using creation as my way to destress when I need a break. I had hoped I would be able to complete at least 3 illustrations over the course of the Munchy May event, but I have surpassed my original goals and targets.

I am really enjoying seeing such quick progression into my personal skills which I feel I can easily transfer into my university work, as I am gaining a deeper understanding of how to create quick yet effective illustrations and the tools and tricks required to do so.

I have really enjoyed my exploration into various additional elements and facial expressions such as the inclusion of block cell shading to create more depth and interest within my designs. I feel this is helping me better understand that sometimes less is more.
