SMART Target: Procreate Experiment
I decided to purchase an IPad Pro with some of my finance as I felt it would increase my opportunities throughout the day to work and practice my digital art skills. I felt this would be the perfect purchase as there are a lot of attachments to my laptop due to its age so I cannot always travel with it however due to the issues I have with my joints I cannot always sit at my desk and work. By getting the IPad Pro I have provided myself the opportunity to create artwork from almost anywhere at any time, meaning I can fit it around my every day life.
My first attempt at using Procreate I was not expecting to create anything amazing considering it is a brand new software and style of working. Due to this I decided to create something simple, following the cute art style I have been enjoying working with recently.
My SMART target is to keep practicing with the Procreate software in order to develop my skills in order to allow me to make illustrations of a similar standard to those recently included in my @duckyy.draws Instagram account (titled PERSONAL PROJECTS). I will measure this by regularly comparing my creations to identify what methods appear to be working and creating a positive emotive response in a public setting. To do this I will use my Facebook and Instagram accounts however I will be posting my Procreate experiments to @parataxic.productions. I feel this is an effective way of measuring my success as not only am I reviewing my work, it also provides me with the opportunity to gain outside views which I may not have considered originally.
The resolution of this illustration isn't the greatest which is most likely because it has come straight from Procreate where the screen size is not very large. For my first attempt I am not too displeased with this experiment however I feel with practice I could clean it up a lot better to form a much more clean and refined design similar to that of my recent personal projects.
However, I must also take into account the new opportunities this software has provided me with. Due to this I will be exploring a variety of techniques to distinguish which works best with this software.
