Personal Development: 30 Day Challenge - Day 21

Unfortunately due to the injury to my hand previously mentioned at the beginning of this challenge, day 21 was as far as I was able to get before having to stop working on this project and focus on my designated university modules. The prompt for day 21was ‘fall’, which made me think of autumn leaves.

I love the detailing on this design and I feel it may be my favourite design throughout the whole progression of this personal project. I really like the composition I have created by having the leaves appear to be themselves falling in order to add another level of depth to the prompt as well as making the visuals more appealing.

I chose to use a more vibrant colour for the background oval of this design as I felt it helped contrast against the leaves a lot better, I chose blue to represent the sky but chose to add no further detailing in order to leave this colour choice as more of an impression rather than definitive.

I’m disappointed I’m so close to completing this project, however it is more important I make sure to stay on top of the work for my modules considering I now have limited movement and am having to work a lot slower. Perhaps I will pick this project back up in the future.

I love the aesthetics of this design, and I’m really happy with the transitions of colours as they clearly resemble orange autumn leaves and are clearly recognisable to the audience. I feel this design is really pretty and calming due to the sense of falling which would be an interesting prompt to explore further in the future.
