Personal Development: 30 Day Challenge - Day 20

Day 20’s prompt ‘sandwich’ and rather than creating a basic stacked sandwich I wanted to find a way of creating a more fluid and interesting pose for the sandwich. Due to this I chose to create a cheese toasty where the cheese was melting and pulling away in the centre.

I thought this would be a super interesting composition and would allow me to work on multiple skills in order to successfully represent the motion of melted cheese.

I feel the overall aesthetics for this design could definitely be improved; perhaps I needed to add some sort of texturing to my bread to help it look less flat. I think if I were to repeat this prompt I would also work on having a more gooey appearance for the cheese. I tried to portray the idea the sandwich was in motion of being separated however it looks more like the cheese is too stiff in the final visual.

Despite this I still like the composition I decided upon for this prompt as I feel it definitely made such a stationary prompt more exciting.
