Personal Development: 30 Day Challenge - Day 18

The prompt for Day 18 was ‘clouds’ and I knew I wanted to create something pastel and colourful for this. I could have created a stormy sky however I felt the aesthetics of a more peaceful sky would work wonderfully for the development of this brush.

I love summer nights and sunsets so I was heavily inspired to complete this design based around those visuals. I really like the overall result of this experiment. Perhaps it could be improved if I were to extend the clouds past the oval frame and use the pink shading in order to define it against the white background.

I tried to use a more natural shape for my clouds and I feel I managed this to an extent; perhaps I could improve this in future. However, considering I have no experience creating such a design I am happy with how this experiment turned out.

I made sure to use the colours of the background to create the lighting within my clouds to ensure they remained consistent with the lighting which would be present, in order to create a more realistic impression.
