Editorial Project: Tutorial Preparation
- Please give a recap on your chosen film, research and proposed outputs
The film I have chosen to work on is Tetsuo: Iron man and I am aiming to create 2 spot illustrations and a main cover. I am aiming to create one large spot illustration which will frame the page.
- What is going well?
I really like the concept I have developed, especially for my 2 page spread of having the iconic use of wiring to frame certain areas of the page. I feel this will make my design unique and appropriate for the movie it is aiming to convey. I love how I used first-hand reference imagery to create the pose of my front cover’s character as it provided me with so much more freedom to control and reposition the actor so I could achieve exactly the pose I needed.
- What has been problematic with your projects?
Obtaining the correct positioning and style for my cover design, I am also worried about the completion of my location illustration as I’m unsure whether I will be able to complete it in time.
- What are your targets for the next 3 weeks?
To complete my front cover design to a quality I am happy with, complete my location illustration design, development and creation. Work on the composition of my 2 page layout.
- Have you been regularly posting to your blog?
No, unfortunately I have not been posting as often as I should to my blog currently but I intend to improve on this moving forward once my fractured hand heals and I am able to focus on multiple tasks at once again.
- Are you keeping on top of issued tasks?
Yes, although I am having some difficulty keeping on top of my blog
- Do you have sufficient R&D to support your project and clarify your intentions?
Yes, I have worked super hard on ensuring all of my alterations; processes and research are all sufficiently up to date and will continue working on my alterations and development until I am happy with my final illustration
- Do you have any areas of your projects that you need further support with in terms of theory and practical?
No
- What is your target grade for this module?
I am hoping to achieve a 70+
for this module
